Council Surgeries

The Parish Council is trialling a series of Council Surgeries in the coming months.  The first is to be held on Thursday 1st March at the Recreation Centre, at the Rec in New Road Impington 3pm – 5pm

A few of our hard working Councillors will be on hand to answer your queries or take them away and come back with information.  Please do try and come along any time between 3pm and 5pm if you have any issues you wish to raise!

We will try out other times of the day later in the year to accommodate as many residents as possible

So –

  • are you confused about who is responsible for what?
  • Do you have specific issues in your street that need addressing?
  • Do you have comments to make on highways, environmental or planning issues?
  • Do you have good ideas for facilities or services you would like the Parish Council to consider?
  • Or do you want to find out more about becoming a Parish Councillor yourself or helping in other ways?

Come along for tea and biscuits, and meet us in relaxed surroundings – we are interested in your views!

Building Work Traffic – Wednesday 21st February

There will be increased traffic heading in and out of the Junior School tomorrow –  Wednesday 21st February.  This will occur outside of school drop off and collection times, no disruption is expected to the school day.

This will mean that during the day there will be an impact on the surrounding roads as some trucks may wait off site to enter as soon as they are able to. Kier have advised they are planning to pour the concrete base for the Junior School’s new building, so there will be a larger than normal volume of vehicles expected this day delivering the required quantities of concrete.

As lorries may be waiting in the vicinity of the school at both ‘drop off’ and ‘pick up’ time we would ask anyone accessing the school to be extra vigilant.
