Out of hours service consultation

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG) is considering moving the Out of Hours (OOH) service, which currently operates out of Chesterton, to Addenbrooke’s. There’s more information about this on the CCG’s website. Go to http://bit.ly/2lcM9Vv for more information.

It’s important for people to respond to its consultation so that it can understand any concerns  and then make the right decision about whether or not to go ahead. The online survey is at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7DBDVPT. The deadline for responding is 6 Mar 17.

  1. I would think it is more difficult to park near the surgery and difficult if you have a mobility problem due to ill health.

  2. Many people from Chesterton area will find it very difficult if it goes to Addenbrookes 2 reasons transport and if you are disabled it will lead to more stress at the other end.

  3. As far as my family (including daughters in another local village with young children), this is yet another nonsensical idea. The Chesterton service is superb, efficient – and easily reachable. It should be left alone to continue its excellent work.

  4. Both are too far from Cambourne to provide a reasonable and effective service. GPs need to up their game in terms of out of hours and weekend service.
