We have seen the following event is taking place this week:
On Wednesday 14 January Stewart Huxley will be coming to the Library in Histon to talk about the Corpus Clock which is one of the newest and most distinctive public monuments in Cambridge. It is a unique and strange device for the measurement of time and is both hypnotically beautiful and deeply disturbing. It was invented, designed and given to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, by Dr John C Taylor and unveiled to the public by Stephen Hawking in September 2008
This is a social event for the over-50s with a speaker, known as an “Engage in the Afternoon” event. No tickets required, just turn up. It’s free but donations are requested towards refreshments.
