In a quite possibly a first for the village there will be an outdoor film presentation at the Histon & impington Recreation Ground on a 8 x 5 metre large screen
The film being shown is ‘ Warhorse ‘ the Stephen Spielberg epic which is set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War. “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. When they are forcefully arted, the film follows the extraordinary journey of the horse as he moves through the war, changing and inspiring the lives of all those he meets-British cavalry, German soldiers, and a French farmer and his granddaughter-before the story reaches its emotional climax in the heart of No Man’s Land.
The vent is being run by the Friends of the Rec. There will be more info at www.friendsoftherec.co.uk. Alternatively click here for a pdf of the poster.
The film show will start at 7.30pm, admission on the evening £5 adult, Under 18s £2 or family £10.
Picnics permitted, food and bar are being provided on the evening.
Warhorse is a 12A rated film.

This was a most enjoyable event, well done for all the organisation. The sound was surprisingly clear despite the occasional dropouts.
I really hope this happens again as Histon really could do with a cinema!
