Over the next two to three weeks the Highways Agency will be undertaking a series of updating traffic surveys along the A14 corridor between Huntingdon and Cambridge. These surveys are to gather current day traffic patterns in the area. Some of the surveys will involve taking aside and interviewing a sample of motorists about their journeys as they travel to and from the A14 (and M11). The intention is where possible to minimise disruption to traffic flow by using existing lay-bys. Such surveys will be under police supervision and control and all data will be collected on a strictly confidential basis and stored under the Data Protection Act.  read more ...

FLOWER FESTIVAL 2013

The annual Flower Festival held at St. Andrew's Histon starts the village Feast Week and traditionally is an opportunity for local organisations and businesses in Histon & Impington to express this year's theme in flowers and foliage.

The theme for 2013 is 'Building Community', and the challenge is to interpret it in a flower arrangement, possibly with a reference to the organisation sponsoring the installation. There have been many imaginative responses in the past.

Visitors will be able to enjoy live music in throughout the three days of the festival which will be open will be open at the following times:

• Saturday 29th June 9.30 - 6pm
• Sunday 30th June noon - 6pm
• Monday 1st July 10am - 5pm
