This year there is an exciting new event planned for the village.\u00a0 Histon & Impington Community Orchard (HICOP) and HI Sustainability Group are joining forces to host the first<\/p>\n

HI Village Food Festival at the Community Orchard off Somerset Road, Histon<\/strong><\/p>\n

10am to 2pm on Saturday 1st<\/sup> October 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the regular juicing of the year’s apples by HICOP members, some of the planned village food festival activities include:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Vegetable growing advice<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s activities including juicing and a sustainability quiz with a prize!<\/p>\n

Honey for sale by a local beekeeper<\/p>\n

Advice on how to grow food in a limited space<\/p>\n

Table for swapping or donating surplus vegetable and fruit<\/p>\n

Fruit smoothies using bicycle peddle power<\/p>\n

Local food vendors<\/p>\n

Safely foraging for food in the countryside<\/p>\n

Apple identification<\/p>\n

Advice on keeping chickens with some hens for sale!<\/p>\n
