Sustainability Group projects Update April 2015
Community Allotment
We have been designated a plot which we can develop at the Gatehouse Road Allotments. We hope to develop and manage the plot by sharing the work. This could be ideal for those interested in growing fruit and vegetables but do not have the time to manage a full size plot by themselves. At the moment we are planning the year ahead and will be looking for help with obtaining materials, erecting a rabbit proof fence and soil preparation. More details to follow soon
Hi there. I am trying to get in touch the the HI Sustainability group. I would like to join you and also would love to organise a public showing of the film Demain in the village. https://www.demain-lefilm.com/en/film I am especially interested in Local Currency and would love to have the opportunity to talk to some of you about how and why it would work in HI and the effect of local currencies.

Is the “Sustainability working party” still active and is it dealing with climate change issues?
The Sustainability Group is active in the village dealing with a range of issues. In addition a new working group has just started up looking at actions around climate emergency topics.
