Earlier in the year it was noticed that nearly all of the rose plants that had previously been planted in 2017 in the beds at the War Memorial (formerly known as the Peace Memorial) had died, leaving just three remaining. The Parish Council is putting together a plan to replant the beds with new roses, preparing the soil in advance to give the new plants the best chance to succeed, and seeking advice on the best spacing for them. Please bear with us while we get this project actioned, and we hope to have it completed by the spring.
If you’d like some spare rose bushes, we have some that might be looking for a new home.
Thank you very much for the offer. I will keep you contact details on file for when we are ready to plant.
I also have some that I am happy to donate. Please be aware of rose plant disease.
Thank you for the offer. We wil keep your contact details on file ready for when we have prepared the beds.
