Brief Bio

Marcus Romer is a theatre director and filmmaker. He was Artistic Director of the National Touring Pilot Theatre for 2 decades where he directed many award winning productions and developed the company and its International work. More recently he was Associate Artist and Live to Digital Producer at Theatre Royal Stratford East, and he is currently a Producer for Collusion in Cambridge developing arts and new technology projects.  He is also co-directing a new piece for National Theatre Wales in 2018. He wrote and directed his first feature film, ‘The Knife That Killed Me’ which was released and distributed by Universal Pictures in 2015. He set up and runs the HI Drama group in the village, and also created the pop-up micro-library in the phonebox on Station Road. Earlier in his career he worked in the NHS as a dental surgeon
