We have received this item from PCSO Tony Martin in a recent Police Weekly Update mail:

“With all of the problems we have experienced in the village this year and the increase in Burglaries I have decided to arrange a “Home Security Event”. This will be held at the Community Room at the Recreation Ground in New Road, Impington on Thursday 4th December between 14:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs. It will be a multi-agency event with representatives from The Police Crime Reduction Unit, Fire Safety, The Bobby Scheme, Neighbourhood Watch, South Cambridgeshire District Council, Trading Standards, Rough Traders, Dent Security and more. Everyone will have a stand where there will be information leaflets and freebies to take away. I am hoping to have some shed alarms, window alarms and Smart Water which you can purchase for a small nominal fee.

This event is free and open to all residents of Histon, Impington and Orchard Park. Please come along and support this event. If there is enough support for this event and a large turnout of locals I may arrange another evening event for early 2015.”
