Histon Artisan Market has been set up by Kristen Ellery as a new venture for our villages

A year’s trial has been agreed by the Parish Council

The market is a unique representation of a High Street with a chance to shop for varied goods and services. It celebrates the diversity of local artisans and small businesses, with stalls ranging from hand sewn bags to vintage photography. Most stall holders are from the local area and are people who are deeply passionate about what they make and sell. It is hard for many people to take the next step and have their own shop or premises, so this is an opportunity for those people to meet new customers and to experience selling in a market environment. There are refreshments on sale and the market, although small, has a real sense of community and is an asset to the villages. A space for a Community Stall is also available each time. It is held once a month on the Green, from 10-1pm. The next market has a Garden Theme to reflect the weekend of Open Gardens.
