Annual parish meetings and AGM of Parish Council

The annual parish meetings of Histon and Impington and the AGM of the Parish Council took place last week at the Rec.

At the annual parish meetings there were presentations from the Chair and from John Richards of Cambridge City Council about the City’s 20mph speed limit program. Links to both presentations are given below.

Members of the public asked questions about the Council’s finances, about the proposed primary school capacity plans, about the oak tree at School Hill and about Histon library.

At the AGM David Jenkins was re-elected as Chair with Cedric Forster being elected as vice-chair. Although it was largely an administrative meeting the Council did make one very significant decision viz to support the Living Wage. It asked the Finance Committee to develop a program to implement it ASAP.
