The famous Squirrels Nearly New Sales are held twice a year in the gym at IVC. They are a great place to pick up a bargain - we only accept goods of "nearly new" quality - or alternatively you can sell your unwanted items and make a bit of cash and also support the playgroup.

Saturday November 8th 2008.
How does it work?
The sale is of "nearly new" items, and jumble or similar will not be accepted.
We will sell your items for a handling fee of £2 and 25% of the proceeds.
Every seller is allocated a unique number in advance of the sale.
Each seller labels their items with price, seller number, description repeated on two sides of the label (see template)
Sellers bring their items to the gym the night before the sale for drop-off and registration
Volunteers and committee members set up the sale in the gym.
During the sale, the main part of the ticket is removed at the till, leaving a stub on the item with the same information (seller number, price, description)
At the end of the sale, committee members and volunteers sort out unsold items by seller number
Sellers come to collect their unsold items
Money owed to sellers is calculated from the tickets retained at each till and paid within 2-3 weeks.

Can you help?
The Nearly New Sale is organised and run by volunteers, most of them parents of children attending the playgroup or toddler group. We need volunteers to set up the goods on Friday 7th November and people to run the sale on the day. Helpers get the opportunity to shop before the sale is opened to the general public.
