Moor Drove Travellers' Site - Public Inquiry

Written 11/08/04

Travellers (H. Price and others) at the Moor Drove site (B1049, north of Histon) had appealed against the District Council's decision to refuse their planning applications.

A Public Inquiry was scheduled to hear this appeal. The Inquiry opened at 10.00am on Tuesday 10th August. The Inspector was Mr Roberts. Histon Parish Council and residents were represented as third parties by Mr Kratz of Taylor Vintners.

Counsel for the Travellers (Mr Masters) requested an adjournment stating that he had not been able to fully deal with evidence on highway matters from the County Council that had been submitted very late. Following procedural discussions Mr Roberts announced that the Inquiry would be adjourned. It would restart on December 13th, and would be expected to take between two and four days. The location was yet to be decided.

Mr Roberts made a number of decisions regarding the submission of further proofs of evidence. He apologised to all members of the public and third parties for the time wasted because of the adjournment.
