The News

The Free Newspaper for the Villages of Histon and Impington

Since the middle of 1998 a number of people have been meeting to consider and take forward plans for "The News" - a free village newspaper for the villages of Histon and Impington. This has the support of both Parish Councils, and many other people.

Proposals to date are that it should be published 4-6 times a year, in A3 folded to A4 format (as many pages as required) and that "The News" should be independent of any other village body. This means that it should be self funding, but a number of organisations are likely to help with "pump priming" funding, and a Lottery grant may be possible.

What is needed now is the production team that will make it happen - we'll need everyone from an editor, through reporters, to distribution!
