Traditional country dancing is on offer for parents and older students as the new term at Impington Village College gets going this autumn. Local musicians, FEN BLOW, perform for what will be a very traditional evening of music and dance on Saturday 18 September from 7.30-11.00pm.
Whilst many tunes will be familiar to most, those attending will be treated to some original material and, according to the band "the odd tune straying in from the Continent!" The event will provide a relaxing atmosphere for parents, friends and older students to get together and meet one another, whilst the band's musicians and 'callers' will ensure some lively and enjoyable participation.
The autumn Ceilidh is being organised by the Parents, Staff & Friends Association of Impington Village College, and many of its members will be on hand to encourage new parents to get involved with its social and fundraising activities.
The venue for the dance will be the Gropius Hall at Impington Village College. Tickets are on sale in advance from IVC Reception at £6.50 (£5.00 for under-18s) and £7.50 on the door (£5.00 for under-18s). A licensed cash bar will be available throughout the evening and the band will perform two sets with an interval.
