We are waiting to hear from you!

In the June issue of the Millennium Newsletter we invited the young people of Histon and Impington to come forward with ideas for their very own day or week-end during the year 2000 and for suggestions on how we can improve the social life in our villages. So far not one of you has come forward. Perhaps you have been too busy thinking about exams and then there was the long holiday. But now you are back at your school or college you could give the matter some thought.

You are the people who are going to make a difference in the early decades of the new Millennium. Those born in the years spanning the 2000 watershed will look to you for guidance, and those born in a period of great changes after the terrible wars of the 20th century will depend on your commitment to a peaceful and prosperous society.

Show us that you have ideas, ideals, hopes for the future, that you can have fun without excluding the rest of us. Show us what stuff you are made of!
