David Jenkins has started a blog about the B1049 - he says:

It's not a great road and 'something must be done' but the County Council seems disinclined to do anything so it's time that we bring everyone's opinions together and make a case for change. This is what this blog is about, enabling anyone who has an opinion about the B1049 to express it so that such a case can be made.

Ely has grown in size, many people commute from there to cambridge and the A10 has reached capacity. I suggest the only way of solving the B1049 traffic problem is to try to provide reasonably priced housing nearer cambridge but interestingly when sites come forward in Histon (Unwins) everyone objects!
