Plans are being laid for another Open Gardens day in Histon and Impington, following the great success of the 2007 event. No event will be held this year but in 2009, gardens will be open on Sunday June 14th 2009. A wide range of gardens, some open in 2007, and some new, will be included. Additional activities are being planned as well as lunches and teas. Sponsors who have already offered their support include Archangel, Richard Stebbings Funeral Service, XAAR and Oakington Garden Centre.

Offers or suggestions of more gardens will be welcomed. A stall with information and photos will be part of Histon Feast Market on The Green on July 5th. Committee members and some garden owners will be on hand to talk to anyone considering opening their garden. Offers of other help on the day or to grow plants will be very welcome too.

The day will again raise money to benefit Histon Feast, Emmaus UK and VSO - and is expected to be again a hugely enjoyable village event.
