Ivy Removal and tree cutting

Ivy can appear to look very pleasing to look at, especially as it is green all year round. Sadly the effect it has on trees can result in the demise of the tree, preventing light getting to the bark, preventing new buds from coming through and ultimately removing a food source from the tree. It can also produce a humid micro climate which can cause the trees wood to decay.

A tree that had become swamped with Ivy now provided a threat to children playing, this was removed

Dead wood was also cleared down during the day, browse the pictures below to see what the team got up to. Chipped wood was placed in places where it can become a habitat for wildlife
